Technical Support Specialist
Tasks (Job Description)
- Oversee IT Department Activities: Manage day-to-day operations of the IT department.
- Setup and Training: Assist in setting up new hardware and software, and provide training to staff on their use.
- Operational Support: Offer daily support to staff for operational and system-related issues.
- Maintenance: Maintain network devices including printers, scanners, and laptops.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems.
- 1st Line Support: Provide initial support for issues, escalating to 2nd line support when necessary.
- Domain User Support: Offer first-line support for domain user issues.
- Deadline and Stress Management: Ability to meet deadlines and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Technical Communication: Understand IT principles and communicate technical concepts effectively to a diverse audience.
- Documentation and Reporting: Manage technical documentation and prepare accurate, timely reports.
- SLA Adherence: Follow Service Level Agreements (SLA) for issues according to their severity.
Requirements
- Education: BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven working experience in technical support, IT support, or as a technical engineer. Certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows environment troubleshooting.
- Thorough understanding of active panels, projectors, and Promethean smartboards.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Domain Controllers.
- Basic knowledge of backup and data restoration.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Residency: Obour, Shorouk, and Mostakbal areas.
