- Manage the buying process for goods in line with specified cost, quantity, quality, and delivery targets.
- Provide technical/general commodity assistance to other purchasers to develop an awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge.

- Ensure a continuous supply of required goods and materials by forecasting any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations and have to be communicated accordingly with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and business terms with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
- Explore alternate sources for goods and materials and assess tenders/ quotations from potential suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements.
- Develop creative and innovative procurement processes and maintain a strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts.
- Perform other day-to-day duties as assigned by the manager.
purchase officer Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ supply chain or other relevant fields.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Purchase Officer/ Procurement Specialist.
