Position Summary: The Director of Student Engagement and Services Center at Badr University of Cairo (BUC) provides the vision and leadership to create a vibrant and engaged campus experience for BUC students. Collaborating with partners across campus and outside it. The Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing programs, events, and activities that promote student involvement, foster a sense of belonging, and support student retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the university management leaders, establish a vision with measurable goals for student engagement and services.
Create and carry out a full schedule of extracurricular activities for students to foster a lively and interesting co-curricular environment.
Promote, market, and effectively communicate events and activities both on and off campus. This includes posting information on websites, social media platforms, the institutional calendar, the Student Center's media spaces, and Presence.
Create plans for evaluating the involvement and activities of your students, and then use the evaluation data to generate reports and suggestions on a regular basis.
Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate student workers and Graduate Assistants for the Student Center.

Advise the Campus Activities Board (CAB), assigned areas of the Student Government Association (SGA), and assigned student organizations.
Organize workshops on risk management, event planning, budget management, meeting etiquette, and other leadership development-related subjects and initiatives for clubs and organization officers.
Desired Qualifications:
-A master's degree in marketing, business, or a similar discipline.
-At least five years of leadership experience in student services.
-Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills and an ability to foster teamwork.
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals of all backgrounds to promote equity, to foster inclusion, and to effect positive change.
-Demonstrated experience designing assessments of student experience and using data to make recommendations and programmatic decisions.
-Exceptional networking, communication, presentation, creativity and innovation skills.
-Positive attitude and desire to support institutional mission, vision, values and strategic directions, and an inclination to contribute to high-level decisions.
-Excellent computer skills and experience with the use of student information systems.
-Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
